Show PARAGON AH NEWS By Hilma Lamoreaux Mrs. Idella Robinson received word last week of the death of her brother, Mr. Rulan Dahl of Spring City. Funeral services were conducted con-ducted on Fri. and Mrs. Robinson traveled to Spring City accompanied ac-companied by her daughter, Mrs. Donna Jolley of Cedar City. Mrs. Janine Manzione and her baby of Tooele returned to Paragonah with them. ", All were in Parowan on Fri. evening for the reception for Larry and Kristen Robinson. Gordon Manzione and the remainder of the family arrived for the weekend. Idella's niece and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rhode of Ogden came for the wedding reception and visited overnight at the Robinson home. Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Thornton of lone, Washington arrived here on Fri. to spend the weekend with Elbert's people, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thornton and the Herbert Walkers of Cedar City. They also attended the Parowan High School Class reunion held in the Rock Church Sat. evening. Mike Thornton of Parowan has been here visiting wjth grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thornton. Mrs. Janet Carter and daughter, Monica of Minersville visited here for several days last week with the Kay Lamoreaux family. Mr. and Mrs. John Debus and two children from the San Diego, Calif, area arrived here on Fri. to spend a few days at the Debus summer home. Mrs. Geraldine Lamoreaux and some of her children were here from Orem overnight Wed. having come for the Dalton funeral. She and the babies visited with the Roy Stubbs family in Parowan and Monique stayed with grandparents . Mr. and Mrs Joe Lamoreaux. Her cousins, Julie Benson of Beaver and Elaine Lamoreaux ofCedar City visited with her, 'at the ' Lamoreaux home. Mrs. Hannah Robinson, Mrs. Erma Lamoreaux and Mrs. Hilma Lamoreaux were in Parowan on Wed. evening to attend a party at the Benson i Haycock home. Mrs. .Sonya , Mrs. Hannah Robinson, Mrs. Erma Lamoreaux and Mrs. Hilma Lamoreaux were in Parowan on Wed. evening to attend a party at the Benson Haycock home. Mrs. Sonya Lamoreaux was the honored guest. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bensen, Julie and Joey of Beaver were Sun. visitors at the Joe Benson home. Mrs. Anna Mellor, Marie and Jimmy of Lake Shore arrived here on Fri. to spend the weekend with the Orson Talbots. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Topham and Jennifer of Price, and Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Topham and their two children of Taylorsville were among the holiday weekend visitors to this area. They visited with Mr. and Mrs. Alma Topham and relatives in Parowan. Miss Connie Ferguson has moved here from Brianhead to make her home with the Ivan Robbs. Her sister Karen came from St. George for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Thornton and family of Las Vegas arrived here on Fri. to spend some time at their vacation home. On Sun. Dian's parents. Mr. Russell Johnson of Fair Oaks, Calif, hjas arrived here to join his wife and children who are visiting at the Lagrand Robb home. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Williamson of Las Vegas were among the holiday visitors to Paragonah. ' Mr. and Mrs. Lee Abbott and children of Salt Lake City were here for the weekend with their people Mr. and Mrs. Albin Judd and Mr. and Mrs. Myron Abbott. Mrs. Judd and Bonnie went to Hurricane Sat. to visit Lenna Mae's mother and other family members who had been having a Hinton reunion. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson had a host of visitors on the weekend. Fri. evening Mr. and Mrs. Arch Lamoreaux and Mrs. Leora Ashton came from Orem accompanied by Mrs. Nina Hamilton of Missoula Montana, and Mrs. Florence Kite of Clearfield. They visited overnight over-night at the Robinson home and on Sat. traveled to Enterprise for the funeral service of Nora's brother Lamond Huntsman. Mr. and Mrs. James Robb of Salt Lake City and Orion Lamoreaux of Las Vegas joined them. Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Robinson . and their five younger children came from Orem on Sat. and Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Ivie and three children came from Duchesne the same day. All were to Cedar City Sat. evening to attend the 25th wedding anniversary celebration for Ralph and Cleo Edwards, Mrs. Alice Robinson, the Dale Robinson family and Bill Edwards were there also. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson, Miss Helen Stones and Mrs. Alice Robinson were to Five Mile on Tues. evening to attend the 99th birthday celebration for Mrs. Alice Holyoak of Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Field and three daughters of Douglas, Ariz, arrived here late Thurs. for a few days visit with Anna's mother, Mrs. Hannah Robinson. On Fri. Mrs. Nona Harris and Mrs. Rosemary Talbot arrived from Salt Lake City so Mrs. Robinson had all six of her daughters with her for the day, j including Mrs. Leta Evans of Parowan. Mrs. Betty Topham and four children of Tempe, Ariz, arrived here on Tues. to spend a week with Bishop and Mrs. Kenneth G. Topham. Bishop and Mrs. Kenneth Topham Jr. and their family of Salt Lake City arrived on Fri. to join the family for the weekend. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Dan Dodge and family also of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Danny Barton and three children of Seattle, Wash, arrived here on Sun. for a week's visit with the Ken Jensen and Bill Dalton families. His brother Johnny came from Hurricane to visit briefly and their sister Lovena and her children came from Calif. ; and Mrs. J. Christiansen of Las Vegas and her brother Dr. James Christiansen and his family of I Provo arrived for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Orlo Topham have been on a vacation trip and Irene only recently returned home. On June 10 they traveled to Layton for a visit with the Leon Guymon family then into Idaho to see Leon's sister Lois and her family. While in Preston, Irene and Lois celebrated their birthdays together. Later in the month Jay Stolk came from Ely to take the Tophams to Flagstaff, Ariz, where Irene remained for two weeks with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Bish Parker and their daughter Patty. The Parkers brought her horn again, visiting enroute with sisters in Hurricane and St. George and then spending a week here at the Topham home. Dairy! and Sheryl Lamoreaux of Salt Lake City visited here one day last week with their grandmother, grand-mother, Mrs. Erma Lamoreaux. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Berrie and two of their family of Kearns , arrived here for -the holiday weekend. |
