Show SUSC Awards Academic Scholarships Thirty-five freshmen, five of them from out-of-state, will receive "Academic Collegiate Scholarships" for the 1976-77 school year at Southern Utah State College. The awards are for $150 each. "These scholarship recipients were chosen for their fine academic records," John Q. Cannon, spokesman for the SUSC Scholarship Committee, said. "We are very pleased that these students will attend SUSC, and we believe that they will do well in the academic climate here," Cannon said. In-state southern Utah scholarship recipients, listed alphabetically by high school, include: Beaver High School-Kathleen Roberts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Roberts, Beaver. Cedar High School-Kenneth W. Bentley, son of Mr. and Mrs. David E. Bentley; N. Thomas Heaton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Heaton; Dan Bradley Moss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Moss; Carolyn Olds, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Olds; Shanette Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon D. Smith; and RobynnThorley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Thorley. All CHS recipients are from Cedar City. Delta High School-Kayleen Dearden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dearden, Burbank, Utah. Hurricane High School-Bonita Mae Darrington, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Darrington, Hurricane. Milford High School-Lois Ann Price, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max R. Price, and Julie Ann Albrecht, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon R. Albrecht, both Milford. South Sevier High School-Michelle School-Michelle Ware, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vahl Ware, Monroe. |
