Show i Salt Lake man lost on Cedar Mountain; found near Green's Lake by Jeep Patrol Dick Shipley of Salt Lake City was reported in good condition Tuesday after an all night vigil in Cedar Mountain. Shipley became separated from his party Monday forenoon at approximately 11:30 a.m. and when he had not been located that evening a search party was sent out by the Iron County Sheriff's Office. The'Salt Lake City resident was hiking in the Cedar Moutalns with the Paul Davis party Monday when he became separated, and apparently lost. When found near Green's Lake on the face of Cedar Mountain at approximately 9 a.m. Tuesday morning, he reported that he lost his way. He hiked throughout the night, but was in good shape when returned to Cedur City Tuesduy. Members of the party, the Iron County Sheriff's Office and the Iron County Jeep Patrol, all cooperated in the search Monday evening. Mr. Shipley was found by Ira Schoppmann, early Tuesday morning ending the night-long vigil. |
