Show Barbara M. Adams, 95, Parowan Active Church Worker dies; Services '"A : q speakers including; Chaucey S. Knight, Jackie Robinson and Marie Adams being accompanied by Barbara Batt. The 2nd Ward Relief Society Chorus sang with Itha Mortensen accompanying. ac-companying. The Benediction was given by Fernlee Bryant and Norman M. Adams gave the dedicatory prayer. , Pallbearers were the grandsons of Mrs. Adams , and the granddaughters took care of the floral tributes. Interment was in the Parowan City Cemtery under the direction of Boyer Southern Utah Mortuary. : Barbara Ellen Matheson ! Adams, 95, of Parowan passed away January 27, 1979 of causes incident to age in the Iron County Rest Home. She was born May 22, ; 1883 in Parowan to David H. and Sarah Gray Robertson; Matheson Jr. On June 7, 1907 in the Salt Lake Temple she married her sweetheart Hugh L. Adams. He preceded her in death on November 28, 1957. Mrs. Adams was a very active member of the LDS Church; serving as Parowan Stake Relief Society Welfare as regional chairman. She was active in MIA, Primary and Sunday School organizations. She was Parowan Stake Historian. Barbara was a charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 20 and in World War II and active Red Cross worker. Survivors include one son and three daughters: Norman M. Adams of Cedar City; Mrs. Hunter (Lillian) Grimshaw of Enoch; Mrs. Forrest (Barbara) Bryant of Mid-Valley; Mrs. J.J. (Ruth) Halterman of Rexburg , Idaho; 26 grandchildren grand-children and 52 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Funeral services were BARBARA ADAMS held Wednesday January 31, 1979 at 1 p.m. in the Parowan 3rd LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Glen Halterman officiating. Family prayer was offered by Bruce Matheson at the Boyer ' Southern Utah Mortuary in Parowan. Barbara Batt rendered the prelude and postlude music.
