Show BLM aids Utah Buisnessmen The Bureau of Land Management in Utah this year will award over $4 million in contracts to small and large businesses, according ac-cording to Paul L. Howard, BLM director for Utah. , Because of the many contracts awarded for such items as housing, maintenance, main-tenance, seeding, and soil inventories, the BLM is helping small businesses and minority contractors compete with large firms by conducting procurement awardness workshops throughout the state, explained ex-plained Howard. The workshops explain to small businessmen and women regulations con cerning contracts, bonding' and insurance requirements, and how to bid and estimate government govern-ment contracts. The workshops are sponsored by BLM, Small Business Administration, Department of Commerce i and local chambers of i commerce. Workshops will be Jan. 30 in St. George; Jan. 31 in Cedar City; Ffb. 1 in Richfield; Rich-field; February 13 in Moab; February 14 in Price; and February 15 in Vernal.
