Show Reading by Dr. David Lee Dr. David Lee, chairman of the English Department at Southern Utah State College, Cedar City, will give a poetry reading on the occasion of the opening of the Annual SUSC Art Faculty Exhibition in the Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery, Thursday, November 3, 1977, 8 p.m. Dr. Lee is a native of West Texas where he went vthrough the. public schools, p-llv subsequently' graduated, from Colorado State University with a BA degree and from Idaho State University with an MA degree. He obtained his PhD degree from the University of Utah in 1973. Dr. Lee joined the faculty at Southern Utah State College in 1971. He resides in Paragonah with his wife, Jan. and son. Jon Dee. Dr. Lee has distinguished himself as a writer and poet. Of his scheduled reading, he state, "I will attempt a panorama of the growth and development of my work since I have been here. I will begin with my early, experimental ex-perimental poems and prose poems lo the spider poems. Then my poetry shifted to romantic, landscape-image sketches. Finally, I will conclude with a lew, carefully selected examples of my present work, including in-cluding selections from my forthcoming book. The Porcine Legacy."
