Show Utah Symphony opens IV2 usic Arts season The Utah Symphony Orchestra will open the 1977 Cedar City Music Arts Season Tuesday, Nov. 8, when they appear in concert at the Cedar City High School auditorium. Concert is scheduled for 8:15 p m. in : ! and is sponsored by the Cedar City Music Arts Association and assisted by a grant provided jointly by the Utah State Division of Fine Arts and the National Endowment of the, Arts, Washington, D.C. Mrs. Hubbard reminded those with season tickets that they would be admitted ad-mitted free of charge as will students from Southern Utah State College and students from the Iron County Schools. The Utah Symphony Orchestra has received international acclaim and has most recently returned from an extensive ex-tensive tour of Europe where they were so warmly received wherever they performed. Under the leadership of Maurice Abravanel the orchestra has performed per-formed throughout the world, obtained international recognition and is accepted ac-cepted as one of the finest symphony organizations in the west. Selections for the Tuesday evening concert w ill include: Overature to "The Impresario," by Mozart; Symphony No 1 in B. Flat Major, "Spring," by Schumann and Symphony No. 1 in E Minor by Sibelius. Tickets will be available at the door for patrons who do not hold season tickets, Mrs. Hubbard indicated. TO (OMKKTIZF IIKKF.
