Show CONTRACTORS OF REQUIREMENTS FOR CERTIFICATION OF NONSEGREGATKD FACILITIES. (1) A Certification of Nonsegregated Facilities must be submitted prior to the award of a subcontract exceeding $10,000 which is not exempt from the provisions of the equal opportunity op-portunity clause. (2) Contractors receiving subcontract awards exceeding ex-ceeding $10,000 which are. not exempt from the provisions of the equal opportunity op-portunity clause will be required to provide for the forwarding of this notice to prospective subcontractors for supplies and construction contracts where the subcontracts exceed $10,000 and are not exempt from the provisions of the equal opportunity clause. NOTE: The penalty for making false statements in offers is prescribed in 18 U.S.C. 1001. 12. The proposed contract is under and subject to executive Order 11246 of September 26, 1965, as amended, and to the equal opportunity clause. 13. The bidder must supply all the information required by the bid or proposal form. 14. The contract must be completed in sixty (60) working days 15. Bidder's Bond will be accepted in lieu of certified checks, cashier's checks as bidder's assurance of good faith in submitting the bid. IRON COUNTY in accordance with the 1977 amendment to the Public Works Employment Act (LPW), Section 106(f) (2) must assure the Secretary of Commerce that at least ten percent of the amount of the EDA-LPW grant in aid shall be expended for minority business enterprises. For the purpose of this paragraph, the term, 'minority business enterprise' en-terprise' means a business at least 50 percentum of which is owned by minority group members or, in case of a publicly owned business, at least 51 percentum of the stock of which is owned by minority group members. For the purposes of the preceding sentence, minority group members are citizens of the United States who are Negroes, Spanish-speaking, Orientals, Indians, Eskimos, and Aleuts. 5.
