Show Lions Club directs Pheasant Hunting !; The Escalante Valley Lions Club will again this ' year be in charge of four : pheasant hunting units in the jj; Escalante Valley, it was :' announced by Richard DuFour, this week. : The units are located at I : Beryl, Beryl Junction, New 1 :: Castle and Enterprise, and :' include some of the better J hunting units in Utah. Permits for these units ; : will go to hunters on a first I ; come first served basis on ;. the opening morning of the :: hunt at a breakfast spon-I spon-I ; sored by the Lions Club at I the Escalante Valley I :. Community Building, ; Saturday, Nov. 5 beginning I ; at 5 a.m. 1 ; Permits may also be : obtained by sending ap-I ap-I plications to Bryer Wood, secretary of the Escalante Valley Lions Club, Beryl, Utah 84711 or through any member of the Lions Club. , Any permit reserved by application must be picked up the morning of the hunt at the breakfast at the Community Com-munity Building. Free maps of the hunting units and any other assistance will be available at that time, DuFour stated. Proceeds from the pheasant hunt will be used by the Lions Club in Community Com-munity Projects, sight conservation program, the fire department, etc. The Lions Club will again operate a trap shoot for both small and large bore competition to provide the hunter with additional shooting practice. |
