Show Election to decide new mayor A new mayor will be chosen for Parowan in municipal elections this coming Tuesday, along with changes in the city council. Republican Jim Robinson and Democrat Rodney Adams are vying for the mayor's post, vacated by Kendall 0. Gurr. Present councilman Jim Benson and Howard Joseph round out the Republican ticket, while businessman Frank Adams and John Lovirc seek the two city council positions for the Democrats. A good turnout is expected for the voting, due in part to the interest created by a third party in the race, headed by Mayor candidate J. C. Pendleton. Running for city council on the non-partisan ticket are Charles Harris and Alan Stones. Voting districts are listed by the city as follows: District District 1 - courthouse; cour-thouse; District 2 - library lounge and District 3 - Parowan Elementary.
