Show Johnson, Benson exchange vows By Hilma Lamoreaux Gay Lynn Benson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph D. Benson Ben-son of Beaver and Kerry Earl Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl T. John.stm of Holden exchanged ex-changed vows March 4 in the Beaver First-Third Ward Cultural Cult-ural Hall. Bishop Alan Gale officiated at the double ring ceremony. , The young couple were honored hon-ored at a n'oi'pl'ion the same evening. The bride was lovely in a gown of white lace and crepe styled with bodice and long sleeves of lace, empire waistline waist-line accented with ribbon bow and long crepe skirt. Her floor length veil was embroidered with imaitehing lace and she carried a bouquet of Vanda and Catalaya orchids. She was attended by matron of honor, Mrs. Bert Sherman. Maid of honor was a sister, Miss Kathryn Benson and bridesmaids were Kathy and Cindy Johnson, sisters of the bridegroom, Mrs. Sam Baldwin, Bald-win, Miss Shelly Baldwin, Miss Debby Park and Miss Sandy Gillies. Flowergirl was petite Julie Ann Benson. Mothers cf the newlyweds wore orchid floor length gowns accented with white cybidium orchids. Standing as best man was Clark Johnson, a brother of the ibridegroom. Sparkling panels and white pillars draped with purple ?at in furnished a backdrop for the bridal party. Mrs. Carol Kesler provided organ music at the wedding and throughout the evening. At the guest book was Mrs. Connie Lynn Davis. Joan mi Benson aid Sandra Black took charge of the gifts. Mrs. Joan Mortensen presided at the punch bowl assisted 'by Mrs. Alberta Limb and Mrs. Elaine Neilson. Following a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas the newlyweds established a home in Salt Lake City. Prior to the ceremonies the bridegroom's parents hosted a luncheon for relatives and friends. fri-ends. Prenuptial courtesies included in-cluded a miscellaneous shower given by the bridesmaids at the home of Miss Shelly Baldwin Bald-win and a Tupperware shower at the home of Mrs. Joan Mortensen. |
