Show Potato growers to stage election meet Wallace Sjdblom, ' Area Extension Ex-tension Coordinator, Southwest Utah, announced recently that Utah potato producers will neet the evening of March 29 to nominate their representative representa-tive on the National Potato .lesearch and Promotion Board. The nomination meeting will ibe held in conjunction with a special meeting to discuss dis-cuss "Soil Testing and Fertilizer Fertil-izer Recommendations," and all potato growers are invited. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will ,be held in Enterprise at the LDS Seminary Semi-nary building. The U. S. Department of Agriculture recently announced announc-ed approval of the Potato Research Re-search and Promotion Plan in a nationwide referendum, and now requests that nomination meetings be held to select board members. Utah is entitled en-titled to one member on the Board. The nomination meeting Will be conducted by William C. Knope of the USDA Northwest North-west Marketing Field Office of Portland Ore. All potato growers of five or more acres of potatoes will be eligible to vote and are. urged to attend. |
