Show Conan P. Grames accorded Fellowship at U. Conan Paul Grames, 25, a University of Utah senior economics major and honors student has been awarded the $3,000 Edwin L. Sparks Memorial Mem-orial Felowship which he will use to study law at Harvard University. The recipient is a son of former Cedar City residents, Lloyd and Jalene Grames. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Austin Heywood and Mrs. Thornton Jones, all of Cedar City. The award made annually t0 15 outstanding seniors at schools throughout the nation, marked the fifth consecutive year a U of U student has been chosen. Grames who is fluent in Japanese, is interested in a career in international law and plans to combine a law degree with economics and language studies. His career interests were formulated during-the eight months he spent as a tour guide and interpreter at Expo "70 in Japan. He also al-so has served an LDS Mission in Japan. He has been a member of the student academic affairs board and active in intramural intra-mural sports. |
