Tom Walker, classroom instructor in-structor for the children, expressed ex-pressed his appreciation, to Mrs. Connell and her organization organi-zation for making the materials mater-ials possible. He emphasized the value of the extensively Illustrated Ibooks in teaching the children new concepts. Earlier, the group had been given a set of "World Book Encyclopedia" by Field Enterprises Enter-prises Educational Corpora tion through the company's regional representative, Mrs. Blanch Dalby of Cedar City. Students enrolled in the program represent Iron, Garfield, Gar-field, Kane, and Beaver Counties. Coun-ties. Most have participated in the residential training program pro-gram since last October. Present Pre-sent plans indicate increased participation for next year's program. Coordinated by the Utah State Training School, the program pro-gram is a cooperative effort of Southern Utah State College, Iron County School District, Southwest Educational Development Devel-opment Center, and the state training school. Facilities are provided by the school district, training personnel by SUSC, and instructional in-structional media by SEDC. Assisting Mr. Walker in classroom instruction is Mrs. Arlene Sperry, Cedar City. Resident Re-sident supervisors for the children have been Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nay. |
