Show Comprehensive plan drafted for Iron County John Willie, planning consultant con-sultant who is completing a comprehensive plan for Iron County, has made a preliminary prelimi-nary draft of the plan available avail-able to the public. The preliminary draft contains con-tains alternate courses of action ac-tion regarding the use of open space, agricultural lands, future fu-ture residential growth, commercial com-mercial and industrial development. devel-opment. In each case where alternate courses have been dehnated, the planner has recommended re-commended one specific alternative al-ternative over the others. However, because of basic differences in schools of thought existing among county coun-ty residents, the other alternatives altern-atives are spelled out for consideration con-sideration in adopting an over-all over-all policy. The areas where there seems to be little basic difference In suggested courses of action are presented as master plan objectives. There are the location loca-tion of highways and roads, airports, parks and recreation and education. Recommendations Recommenda-tions for libraries, hospitals, garbage disposal sites, cemeteries, ceme-teries, flood control, fire protection, pro-tection, jail facilities, water and sewer development, as well as beauttfication of Iron County are all Included in the preliminary plan. More public hearings are planned.
