Show Community-School relations program presented to BPW President, Mrs. Clara Knell greeted members and guests of the Cedar City Business and Professional Women's Club at a dinner meeting at Sullivan's Cafe April 9th. A profusion of Spring flowers -- daffodils, lilacs, purple Iris, tulips and violets gave fragrance fra-grance and beauty to the tables. Mrs. Knell introduced her son Doug and Cleo Petty who entertained delightfully with piano and saxaphone music. Two selections were "Somewhere "Some-where My Love" and "Tea for Two." Pratt Bethers and his assistant, as-sistant, Tom Biederman presented pre-sented a program ' of slides and narration on Community-School Community-School Relations. It covered a history of Education in Iron County and the -co-operation of civic and community lead-" ers with school personnel. It had been prepared and edited by Mr. and, Mrs. Bethers for a National Research Re-search program. Many x)f the slides brought out the beauty of the setting for Cedar City and surrounding area. It was a thoroughly interesting and informative program. |
