Show Two-day Science Symposium at CSU April 18-19 Science's place in Society will be the theme of a Science Symposium to be held at the j College of Southern Utah Friday Fri-day and Saturday, April 18 and 19. I The symposium is one of four to be held simultaneously simultaneous-ly at Utah colleges. The event marks the silver anniversary of the National Science Tea'chers Assn. and is designed design-ed for the general public and science teachers. The Friday program to be held at 7:30 p. m. in the CSU Music Center, is aimed at Ke general public and educators. Saturday's program, to begin at 8:30 a. m. and to be held in the CSU Science building, will attvack teachers of science from kindergarten through college levels. The four Utah events are part of 180 symposiums which will be held throughout the nation on these nights. They will focus on post-1968 needs in science and impact they are likely to have on society. Chairman of the symposium at CSU is Glade Sorensen, instructor in-structor at the Cedar City High School. The events are part of a year-long schedule of commemorative com-memorative activities marking the 25th anniversary of the National Science Teachers Association As-sociation , - . . -- - |
