Show Hunter Safety Class being held here The first of a series of Gun Safety Classes for this area was set Monday evening of this week at the Parowan LDS Seminary building. The class which was mainly for registration regis-tration purposes, started at 6 p. m. with Ernest Ahlborn, as the instructor. This is one of a series of classes held in various var-ious areas throughout the state sponsored by the State Fish and Game Commission. Mr. Ahlborn says that pre-registration pre-registration figure indicate he will have a full class, but that others may come. The second class will be held next Monday, April 21 at the same place, and they will probably run for three weeks. A final class will probably be held on a Saturday when the students can go outdoors for actual final training. While these classes are to instruct in gun safet' in the handline of fire arms with everyone invited to attend a primary purpose of the course is to instruct the young people peo-ple in gun safety. All young people who are preparing to participate in the deer hunt for the first time, must attend and pass the classes offered in the program before they can purchase a big game license, li-cense, Ahlborn states. |
