Show Highways District headquarters 1 building dedication Friday. Apr. 8 Formal opening and dedica- tion of the Utah State Department Depart-ment of Highway District i Five Headquarters Building will be held Friday, April 18, it was announced this week by C. V. Anderson, District Five Engineer for the Department Depart-ment Location of the building, which serves as headquarters for Highway Department operations op-erations over a five county area, is 830 North Main Street in Cfdar City. The dedication ceremonies will take place in connection with a meeting of the Utah State Road Commission on the sama date. Commissioners and Highway Officials will hold their regular monthly meeting meet-ing in the conference room of the new building at 9:00 a. m. Friday. Giving the dedicatory address ad-dress at the ceremonies, which will commence at 1:30 p. m, will be Commissioner Weston E. Hamilton, Chairman, State Road Commission of Utah. He will be followed by remark-from remark-from State Senator Dixie Lea-vitt, Lea-vitt, Cedar City Mayor Loren Whetten, and Don Spradling, Deputy State Civil Defense Director. Di-rector. Others participating in the dedication will include i Director of Highways Henry I Helland, Highway Commis- sioner Clem Church, Dr. Con-rada Con-rada Hatch, and Ivan Mathe-son. Mathe-son. Open house and tours of the building will follow the dedication dedi-cation and ribbon cutting ceremonies cere-monies and will continue throughout the afternoon. Mr. Anderson and the staff of the Highway Department extend an invitation to the public to attend the activities. |
