Show i LETTERS TO THE EDITOR the police officers and the need to help the senior citi- zens in the way of love, charity and appreciation. A I very, very good letter. But, if she had put that the Relief Society, Primary and MIA had I better organize to visit and do whatever needs to be done instead in-stead of "A group of men, women, wo-men, boys and girls need to be organized to visit and do whatever has to be done," it would change the letter just a little bit and leave some of us out. Thanks you MARY ANN RICHARDS ' DEAR EDITOR: After reading the letters about the congratulations to the Jr. High, and the letters that have followed, there are a few unanswered questions. 1. If Mrs. Lynch would have written in her letter of congratulations con-gratulations to the Jr. High and put good moral standards instead of Clean LDS Standards, Stand-ards, woulrl the letters following follow-ing hers have jeen written? 2. There are many good poo. pie in Cedar City that are not of the majority faith, and when they say Clean L.D.S. j Standards, does that include aii people or does that mean just the majority faith people? is the good Ckan LDS Standards Stand-ards that they are talking about better than the other faiths? 3. Would it be better when someone is talking about a public school where many dif j forent kinds of people attend, to include all and not bring up one religion, society or group? 4. In one letter it said "people "peo-ple will do anything to avoid trouble so they pretend nothing noth-ing is wrong until it is to too late." Then" if the writer of the first letter would have not pointed out one religion standards there would have been NO trouble? And I think i that everyone would nave supported the letter, 5. Why does everybody have to bring up the John Birch 1 Society? That was- not the question to start with at all. 6. Why? After they bring up the John Birch Society they always put in Ezra Taft Benson Ben-son and then they always bring up the LDS Church. Can you write a letter about one without bringing up the other two? If so why do you always al-ways put the three together? 7. Why? The sex education in the schools then bring up LDS General Authorities that they say are prophets of God, are talking to all the people of Cedar City, or just to their own religion. All the people of Cedar City pay to support the schools so why can't all the letters include everybody? I was very happy to read the letter of .Mrs. Porter about |
