Show Former resident is superintendent of Kingman schools BLAINE BENSON The above picture and the story which follows came to us from Hildreth Patton, spring-ville, spring-ville, a sister of Mr. Benson. She states that his appointment appoint-ment to become superintendent superintend-ent of the school district in Kingman, came after he had served as principal of the junior jun-ior high school there for the past 28 years. She states that the article in the paper going along with the story, states that he was born in Parowan with his parents par-ents being Mr. and Mrs. Al-vin Al-vin R. Benson. He graduated from the Parowan High School and then from B A C in Cedar City. He received his B. S. and master's degree from Arizona State College in Flagstaff Ho new resides at 628 Lead Street, Kingman, Ariz with his wife Margaret and children Robert and Margaret Ann. May we add to the above information that Blaine was a member of and high scorer on the Parowan High School basketball team which won its division and played in the state tournament in 1932. Following Fol-lowing this he was a forward on the BAG team of the next two years and led his team in scoring during his two years at the Cedar City school. |
