Show Dixie Forest schedules meet to consider management policy A public meeting is being scheduled to give an opportunity oppor-tunity to anyone interested in expressing their views concerning con-cerning the future management" manage-ment" of undeveloped land areas,containing 5,000 or more acres, in the Dixie National Forest. .The meeting will be held on March 30, according to Forest Supervisor Alvin F. Wright. Two sessions are scheduled sch-eduled in the Small Ballroom of the Student Union Building at Southern Utah State College; Col-lege; one beginning at 2:00 p.m;,-and one at -7:30 p.m. both, on March 30. AU District Rangers have reviewed re-viewed National Forest lands identifying those undeveloped areas of at least 5,000 acres In size, and have prepared inventories in-ventories and maps showing leir size and location. These areas contain W permanent improvements, except trails. Management alternatives may include such items , as the need for further study of specific areas of land to determine de-termine suitability for inclusion inclu-sion in the National Wilderness Wilder-ness Preservation System,, or consideration be given to cias-sifyiing cias-sifyiing areas of scenic, geologic, geo-logic, or archeological values. In addition, areas for timber production, grazing,' mining, wildlife habitat management, recreation developments, and other resource and people activities act-ivities will be covered in the alternatives.
