Show ENOCH And MIDV ALLEY NEWS By Mrs. Veda Matheson Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Chapman Chap-man were in Salt Lake to Conference Con-ference and to visit with relatives rel-atives and friends. Dennis returned re-turned Sunday evening, but Nancy and baby Caroline remained re-mained to visit for a week. President George Grimshaw attended conference sessions of the LDS church in Salt Lake City over the weekend. Orlan Sherratt spent a few days in the hospital for tests and treatments. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Alger and children and Mary Richardson Rich-ardson visited in Milford on Sunday. Mrs. Cora Murie is home again after visiting in Bountiful Bounti-ful with members of her fam- ily. Roland and Steven Anderson Ander-son visited with Mrs. Murie the first part of the week. Steven was in the hospital for a few days to have his tonsils removed. Mr. and Mrs. George D. Grimshaw were happy to receive re-ceive word of a new grandson grand-son on Saturday night. Proud first time parents are Richard and Charlottte Grimshaw of Cedar City. Among the Cedar High students stu-dents who went to Provo for the State Drama Festival, were Charles Garfield, son of Mrs. Delia Garfield and Van-na Van-na Hunter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hunter. Van-na Van-na received superior rating and Charles received a Scholarship Scho-larship to BYU. Carma Maxwell is in Las Vegas this week visiting with her sister. Miss Susan Skagg and Miss Chris Tuttle of Olympus High in Salt Lake City, were overnight over-night guests of Elma Matheson. Mathe-son. Two more of the girls from Olympus were guests of Karlene Maxwell. The girls were part of the A Capella Choir that presented a musi-cal musi-cal program in Cedar City over the week end. Mrs. Maude Jones has returned re-turned from California to spend the summer here. Mrs. Jones usually stays in California Cali-fornia with her children and their families during the winter win-ter months. Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Garfield Gar-field stopped at the home of Mrs. Delia Garfield on their way to conference. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Speirs stopped Wednesday to visit with Orin and Virginia Speirs and family, and with their son, Paul, who is living here at the present time. Roy and Mrs. Drusella Smith received receiv-ed word recently that her son SSgt Bill Davis has gone to Vietnam for a tour of duty. Bill and his wife Lillian have their home in Anchorage, Alaska, where Bill has been stationed, |
