Petty figures that already his team has faced three of the top teams in the Southwest--Northern Arizona, Nevada Nev-ada Southern and Grand Canyon Can-yon College. "This kind of opposition serves to temper a team; we are looking forward to playing another of the country's best." Doug Wolter, a senior southpaw, will start one game for the Thunderbirds. The other two starters will come from Larry Eyre, Wynn Isom and Dave Jensen, all young righthanders.
