The turkey permit allows you to hunt in any of the open areas of the state and these permits will go on sale by mail or personal per-sonal application at any of the Fish and Game offices April 15. The 1967 spring hunt was the first spring gobbler season sea-son held in Utah. ; Hunting pressure was low, but those who went afield scored a very good 22 hunter success. April 27 to May 13 Season For Turkey Hunters Turkey hunters will soon be heading into southern Utah for the April 27, to May 13, gobbler hunt in pursuit of torn turkeys in the Ponderosa covered cov-ered hills. An increased bag limit over last year to two birds should add some incentive to the hunters and bring up the number of hunters going into the field for this second spring turkey season. All of Iron, Kane, Garfield, Sevier, Wayne, and Grand counties will be open along with parts of Washington and San Juan counties. Legal weapons wea-pons will be centerfire rifles, bow and broadhead arrows, or shotguns no larger than 10 guage or smaller than 20 guage.
