Show Merna Heaps New Teacher lit Worth Kiemeniary One afternoon, just before school was out, we heard the ciukoen m MUs Mama Heap's room laughing an J laughing. A.;.-nvard.s we asked, "What were you laughing about this afternoon V" Marna laughed a little, herself, remembering tne fun in the room. "Oh", she .said, "We were just reading 'The Two Ton Canary." Her j own mcriment is very con-I con-I tageou.-;. She has a real sense of humor a id she likes people I and loves life. I Marna enjoys all sports, especially es-pecially sofiball. She loves to I cook and is, of corse, an ex- cellent cook. One of her real ! satisfaction is to see the : shelves of her fruit room loaded load-ed with bottles of appetizing fruit and vegetables. The fruit i comes from her own trees and the vegetables come from her own garden. I She has a gift for doing I lovely fancy work. She especially especi-ally likes to embroider. Miss Heap was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She moved to Parowan when she was only on-ly two years old and has lived j there ever since. She graduated ' from high school there. She 1 loves Parowan and the people there. After Marna graduated from the CSU she taught in Parowan until she came to the North Elementary School this year, to teach second grade here. MRS. MERNA HEAPS It is a pleasure to go into her well-ordered and attractive school room. The children in ',' her room are achieving and happy children. |
