Show Youth Council Plans Laid for Work Program in Summer Special guests at the regular regu-lar meeting of the Cedar City Youth Council last Monday Was Norman Heaton and Ivan Matheson of the Iron County Commission. The council invited members mem-bers of the commission to be in attendance in hopes of working out details of a work program for the youth of the area in the near future. The program was discussed in hopes of the future program. Also at the meeting Mrs. Barbara McConnell was introduced intro-duced as a new member of the council. Mrs. McConnell will be working on the Teen-council Teen-council replacing Antone Lambert, Lam-bert, who resigned last month. Mrs. McConnell will work with Pratt Bethers in an attempt at-tempt at getting the teen- council functioning once again among the youth of the city. Represented on the teen council coun-cil will be representatives from Cedar High School and Cedar Junior High. Ervin Peterson, who has served in the youth council for the past several years, asked to be released. Mr. Peterson Pet-erson is moving from the community. com-munity. The members of the youth council asked that a public expression of thanks for the outstanding work performed by Mr. Peterson be given. Mrs. Pauline Nelson, representative repre-sentative of the PTA council, made a brief report on the PTA seminar recently held She feels the seminar was well received by the public. |
