Show Lady Honored On Eightieth Birthday By Hilma Lamoreaux . Mrs. Edith Amanda Wade Davenport, wife of William T. Davenport, celebrated the 80th anniversary of her birthday birth-day Monday, Dec. 4. Family members took her out to dinner din-ner and a show for the occasion. i Mrs. Davenport was born ! Dec. 4; 1887 in Pleasant View, , Weber County, to Albert Moses and Sarah Jane Lister Wade. The family moved to Pan-guitch Pan-guitch where she spent most of her younger life. She became be-came a nurse under instruction instruc-tion of Mrs. B. H. Roberts at the time when the Relief Society So-ciety trained young women for that profession. She married Mr. Davenport in the St. George LDS Temple on January 16, 1912 and has made her home in Paragonah since that time. She combined nursing with rearing her large family and also held many important positions in church organizations. She has always I been an asset to the commun- I ity. J Her posterity includes, eight j children, 43 grandchildren and j 19 great grandchildren. |
