Show 43rd Annual Presentation of "The Messiah" Slated for Sunday Night Th e 43rd annual performance of "The Messiah" will take place in Cedar City on Sunday, December 10th. The annual event was bo-gun bo-gun in 1921 by Prof. Albert Tollestrup, who presented parts of the "Messiah." Prof. vVm. H. Manning presented the irst lull pernioiinaiice on New Years Day in 1927. This great work which is known inseparably with Christmas, has been performed perform-ed every year since that time with the exception of two of the World War II years. Soloists for this year's presentation pre-sentation on Sunday, Dec. 10, at 8:15 p. m. are: Sopranos, Barbara Willis, Christine Dot-son Dot-son and Christine Winterrose. Tenors: Ralph Hafen and Frank Adams. Altos: Virginia Stephenson, Virginia Jones and Sandra Robb. Basses: Forrest For-rest Hunter, Brent Hunter and Floyd Ribgy. Featured again this year will be "The Trumpet Will Sound" with Harold Boyce as soloist. I Prof. Roy L. Halversen in-iicates in-iicates that he has never had j such wide special interest in I participation as mis year. The orchestra is larger than ever, as is the chorus. Admission to the performance perform-ance at the College of Southern South-ern Utah theater auditorium is free of charge. , |
