Show CSU Plans Mock Trial On American Tradition A student at College of outhern Utah will be brought ) trial, this evening, Thurs-.ay, Thurs-.ay, on charges of un-Amer-can activities and attitudes. The case is "The American Tradition vs. James Pollmen," and will be tried in room 205 of Old Main on the CSU campus, cam-pus, sponsored by the Open 7orum Discussion class under he direction of Professor Rich-rd Rich-rd M. Rowley. Representing thers of his generation, Mr. 'oilman, a freshman from -ong Beach, California, will be harged with deserting the Vmeriean tradition of loyalty o, and love for, his country. Attorney Robert L. Gardner, "edar City, will be attorney for he defense, with another Ce- lar City attorney as prosecut-ng prosecut-ng attorney. Judge Haldow hristensen will preside at the rial. The model trial is being ised as a distinctive discus-ion discus-ion forum which will enable he participants to clarify and efine the issues in an im-lortant im-lortant public question. Mr. "nllman will bo indicted for failure to show patriotism by saluting the flag and other accepted ac-cepted evidences of love for ?ountry.
