Show Funeral Services Held For Preston Williams PRESTON P. WILLIAMS I Funeral services for Preston I Prince Williams were held Saturday, Sat-urday, June 4, at the Kanarra-ville Kanarra-ville Ward Chapel. He will be remembered for his ability with animals and farming farm-ing operations in the Kanarra-ville Kanarra-ville valley. Williams was employed for many years by the Union Pacific Paci-fic Railroad, but returned later to farming on a fulltime basis. Active in affairs of the LDS Church, he served as an officer in the Kanarra Ward MIA and was just recently released as president of the Elders Quorum after serving for several years as a counselor and President He fulfilled an LDS mission for the church, serving in the Netherlands Neth-erlands from 1927 through 1929. Speakers at the services included in-cluded Dr. J. S. Prestwich and Dr. Reed W. Farnsworth with a tribute given by his sister, Linda Spence, and a life's sketch given by Joye Crawford, with remarks by William (Bill) Esplin, who conducted the services. Music Numbers included a vocal vo-cal duet by Opal Williams and Fern Bauer, "Sometime We'll Understand"; Un-derstand"; a vocal duet by Le-ree Le-ree Pollock and Riby Stewart, "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine,"; a vocal duet by Ralph Hafen and Howard Wood, "Beyond "Be-yond the Sunset," and an organ solo by Doris Williams. Invocation was by Antone Prince, prayer at the home by Ashby Chadburn, and the benediction was given by Dallen R. Williams. Dedication of the grave at the Kanarraville cemetery ceme-tery was by Loraine Coridie. |
