Show John Rollo Called To Austrian Mission, Testimonial Sunday ELDER JOHN ROLLO A farewell testimonial will be held at the Second Ward chapel Sunday, June 12 for John Rollo, son of Mr. and Mrs. Morgan Rollo, Rol-lo, who hase been called to serve a mission for the Church of Jasus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Elder Rollo has been called from the Second Ward to serve in the Austrian Aus-trian Mission with headquarters in Vienna. The testimonial will be held at 3:30 p. m. and friends and relatives are invited to attend. Speakers at the services will be Elder 'Rollo's brother-in-law, Dr. Eugene T. Woolf; his brother, Bishop Klien Rollo, and Boyd Beagley, supervisor of southern district Seminaries. Remarks will be made by parents of the missionary mis-sionary and a response from the missionary will be heard. A special musical number will be a vocal solo by Miss Vyonne Gibson. Invocation will be by Mike Webster and benediction by Hal Norton. Elder Rollo graduated from Cedar Ce-dar High School and from Seminary Semin-ary in 1965 and has attended College of Southern Utah for the past school year. At Cedar High School he was a member of the football team, and the track and field team. He was a member of the Key Cuub and the Let-terman's Let-terman's Club at the high school, serving as an officer of the latter organization and as captain of the football team. He participated participat-ed in dramatics and sang with the a capella choir. At College of Southern Utah lie was a member of the football team and was nominated as one of five outstanding freshman at the college. Elder Rollo will enter the mission mis-sion home in Salt Lake City on Mondav, June 13, in preparation for his labors in the Austrian Mission Field. |
