Show Community Transient Fund Meeting Held tion of effort while providing the necessary assistance to help needy nee-dy transients on their way. 1 The Community Transient fund again solicits funds through membership in the Fund. Sustaining Sus-taining members of the Fund are those who contribute $25.00 or more. Contributing members are those who contribute less , that that amount. Interested par-ties par-ties may contact any of he officers offi-cers or rustees. The annual meeting of the Community Transient Fund was held Saturday, June 4 at which time officers for the coming year were elected. All officers were re-elected to serve for the 1966-67 year with W. S. Leigh to continue as president. presi-dent. Rev. G. H. Gowen will serve as vice president and administrator; adminis-trator; G. O. Gooding will serve as secretary and treasurer, and Reed Bradshaw was re-elected to a five year term as a trustee. Named as a four-year trustee for the transient organization was Rev. K. M. Hutson. A report of the activities of the Transient Fund included 128 meals; provided overnight lodging lodg-ing for five families; provided tickets (to Fillmore) for two transients; paid minor repairs on a transient's car that had broken brok-en down in Cedar City and provided pro-vided necessary clothing for six transient family groups. In no case did the cost of help to a distressed transient family group exceed $10. Working closely close-ly with other service organizations, organiza-tions, the fund avoided duplica- |
