Show Valley View Medical Center to Host Medicare Workshop The Valley View Medical Center Cen-ter will again host a Medicare workshop to be held Friday, June 10 at 10:00 a. m. The following hospital will be represented: Fillmore, LDS, Gunnison Gun-nison Valley, Kane County, Mil-ford Mil-ford Valley, Panguitch LDS, Sevier Se-vier Valley, Dixie, and Salina. The meeting is not only for the administrators, but also should be of particular interest to admitting ad-mitting clerks, bookeepers or accountants. Particular emphasis will be placed on admission and billing procedures, the proposed reimbursement formula, and accounting ac-counting changes which will be necessary in order to comply with the Medicare Law. William D. Whipple, Administrator Adminis-trator of the Valley View Merieial Center, said, "We are doing everything in our power to make our hospital a medical center. Plans are being formulated for on-the-job training for doctors and technicians in heart resuscitation resusci-tation and other specialties and research programs. In the not too distant future we will apply for aeerediation with the Joint Commission." Com-mission." The Valley View Medical Center Cen-ter was certified to participate in the Medicare program Willi the first ten hospital in the Stale of Utah. |
