Show I HEWS NOTES OF SUMMIT ACTIVITIES By Hulda Peterson Howard Dalley and his mother, moth-er, Ardena Dalley, and Mrs. Dal-ley's Dal-ley's granddaughter, Kathleen, made a business trip to Salt Lake City Friday. At our sacrament meeting on Sunday Elder Ivan Dalley and his vife Anna, reported their trip to the "Hole-ln-the-Rock.- Mlch-J ael Yoshlno was also one of the speakers. He came with Mr. and Mrs. Kent Hulet. Yoshino Is an Instructor-student at BYU and was in this area to speak at Orion Wood's farewell testimonial testimon-ial In Cedar City. . Miss Nettie Macfarlane re-turned re-turned to her home In Cedar City after spending the past week with her nephew, Boyd Walker, and niece, Mrs. Jean Farrow, and! their families. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Orton and' children of Spanish Fork visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs.i Chester Benson last week. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Stuck! of Salt Lake City visited here with Mrs. Hulda Peterson Friday. Fri-day. Michael Stapley Is home from the Iron County Hospital where he has been treated for broken bones. He received his injuries in a fall from a load of hay. Mrs. Nleta Jones Is visiting with her son Kenneth, and family fam-ily in California this week. Mr. and Mrs. Dee White and small children have moved into their home which they have pur-chased pur-chased and remodeled. It is the old Herbert White home. Mrs. Erma Fife and her two daughters, Roselyn and Jeanette, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rudger Fife and family on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Dell Smith ofj Parowan visited with Mr. Smith's brother, Harold Smith, and fam-lly fam-lly Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rob-ert Goodwin of Cedar City were also visitors at the Smith home. Mr. and Mrs. James Felix and Mrs. McGraff of Mount View, Wyo., were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dalley and family. Mrs. Nettle Dalley has returned return-ed home after spending the past two weeks with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Golden Gold-en Bay les In Parowan. Miss Karen Fife and Miss Sharon Shar-on Wlttwer, both of Bryce Canyon Can-yon Lodge, visited with their family Sunday and Monday. Newell Jackson of Ogden spent Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Dalley. Harold Smith was called to the Cedar Third Ward to speak at Sacrament meeting. Arden Richards sang a song In honor of the family night program. Frank Miner of New York was a visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hy Humphrerys. Following his visit here Mr. Miner traveled on to Glen Canyon. Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Madsen of Summit and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Fife of Cedar City attended the funeral services for Roy Chris, tensen at Richfield. Bobbie Pothier spent Sunday night here with Dick Fife. Mrs. Dora Whitney made a short visit at the home of Mrs. Hulda Peterson Monday. |
