Show NEWCASTLE Bf Mildred Tullis The tiny baby boy born to Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Hulet Friday Fri-day afternoon died Saturday at the Iron County Hospital. Funeral Funer-al services for it were h;ld Tuesday Tues-day afternoon at Bishop Melvin Hulet's home. Mr. and Mrs. J.. P. Williams of Woodland, Calif., visited here Friday with their cousins, Mr. and Mis. Charles Hart. Mrs. Betty McCardy and children chil-dren are In Colorado. They were called there several weeks ago because of the serious illness of Mrs. McCardy's father. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin D. Iver-son Iver-son and boys, formerly of San Rafael. Calif, visited Friday with the Dean Forsyth family. The Iversons are moving to Salt Lake City. While here the two families enjoyed a swimming party at Veyo. Mrs. Effie Beacham left Sunday Sun-day for Provo where she will be employed for the next few months. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hart of Vlsalia, Calif., visited here recently re-cently with their uncle and aunt. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hart, Sr. Mrs. Sherman Beacham and Mrs. Stirling Tullis attended M. I. A. Leadership meeting in Pa-naca Pa-naca Monday evening. Tuesday Roger Forsyth accompanied accom-panied his father on his trucking truck-ing route to Salt Lake City on a two day trip. Mrs. Albert Harrison spent two days last week in Salt Lake City shopping and visiting with relatives, rel-atives, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Skid-more Skid-more and family. She went to the city with her mother and sister, Mrs. Ashby Pace find Mrs. Darce Prince of New Harmonv. Mrs. Ida Tullis. Mr. and Mrs. Stirling Tullis and Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Christensen and guest Ethel Lund of Modena, enjoyed the High Priests steak fry in Pine Valley Saturday. Mrs. Leo Knell and children returned home Tuesday evening after spending two days in Leeds at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Stirling. Miss Parcile Deems of California Califor-nia is visiting with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs Boyd Christensen. Miss Linda Neilson of Washington, Wash-ington, Utah, is visiting at the home of her brother-in-law and sister. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hulet. Army troops being trained for a secret mission were sent over an extremely rough obstacle course which included swimming swim-ming across a raging river, running run-ning up a vertical cliff, scrambling scram-bling through harbed-wire entanglements en-tanglements in full equipment. As they reach the end, a colonel col-onel barked to an Ozark Mountain Moun-tain boy in the company, "How do you like it soldier?" "Shucks, Suh. it ain't nuthin," drawled the boy. "Where I come from, we have to go through country like this to get to the j barn." It was the draftee's first day in the Army and he was being briefed by his sergeant.
