Show Jackie Ward Becomes Mrs. James Miller In June Ceremonies Two or Parowan'a popular young people, Miss Jackie Ward and James M. Miller, spoke wedding vows last Friday morning morn-ing In the St. George L D S Temple Tem-ple with President Harold S. Snow officiating. In attendance at the ceremony were the parents of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. M. Howard Ward; the parents of the bridegroom, Mr. and Mrs. R. Taylor Miller, all of Parowan, and Mr. and Mrs. G Morris Rowley of Murray, brother-in-law and sister of the bridegroom. The parents of the bridegroom were hosts at a wedding breakfast break-fast following the ceremoney at Dick's Cafe in St. George. In the evening the parents of the bride honored the couple at a reception In the Parowan First-Second First-Second Ward recreation hall. The reception featured a pro-grams pro-grams with Max Dalley as master mas-ter of ceremonies, followed by refreshments. In a gown of white chantilly lace and tulle over aatln, the bride received guests, with the bridegroom at the evening reception. recep-tion. The lace bodice w.s fash-ioned fash-ioned with long lily-point sleeves and a high neckline, enhanced en-hanced by a tulle yoke. The bouffant lace skirt fell floor-length, floor-length, and was edged with a tulle ruffle. A pearl-studded lace cap released re-leased her veil of Illusion and she carried a bouquet of red rosebuds. Attending the bride as matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. William McKlnley III of Portland. Port-land. Ore. Other attendants Included In-cluded Mrs. David Orton. Mrs. Ronald Mortensen, Mrs. Norman TattersalL, Mrs. Elroy Bryant and Mrs. Hal Evans. They wore bal-lerlna-length pastel gowns and carried nosegays of pink and white daisies. Nelson Taylor and Eldon Webster Web-ster assisted the bridegroom. Ushers were Jerry and Michael Mich-ael Ward, brothers of the bride; Kenneth Decker, Richard Rowley. Douglas Rowley, David Jensen and Gregory Miller, nephewa of the bridegroom. Following the reception the newlyweds left for a short honeymoon hon-eymoon to the southern Utah parks, following which they will be at home at the C S U dorm In Cedar City, where both have employment and where they will attend the College of Southern Utah this fall. Both are graduates of Parowan Paro-wan Hl?h School. Mrs. Miller at- tended the B Y U at Provo for nn vear and then was at Col lege of Southern Utah last year. She has been active In music circles In both school and church organizations. Mr. Miller has attended at-tended C S U for two years In elementary education. He Is a member of the National Guard and also the AF ROTC at CSU where he won honors. |
