Show Wildlife Federation's Big Fish Contest Going in Full Swing Cedar City Wildlife Federation is again this season sponsoring a weekly "Big Fish Contest," according ac-cording to Dell Carpenter, president presi-dent of the federation. In addition to the weekly prizes priz-es a prize will be awarded at the end of the season for the largest catch In each of the two categories. Eddie Lampman, who won the first week end award, is still holding down the top spot for the season's prize. On the opening open-ing day Lampman pulled in a four pound rainbow from Duck Creek Spring. That four pounder pound-er won him the first week's prize and will furnish some stiff competition for the season prize. Other weekly winners included includ-ed Ned Sargent with a one lb. 14 ounce trout and Clarence Crlpps with a one pound three ouncer. In the junior division the fish have gotten progressively heavier heav-ier with each weekly winner taking over top honors for the season's prize. First week's winner was Eddie Bauer with a one pound four ounce catch. Second winner was Verl Prestwich with one pound five ounce and last week's winner win-ner was Keith Seegmlller with a one pound eight ounce catch. Contests run from noon Monday Mon-day to noon of the following Monday. This allows for fish caught over the week end to apply ap-ply on the previous week. |
