Show Serviceman Released From Tour with Jirmy Lt. Glade B. Merkley, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Aird G. Merkley, Parowan, was discharged from the U. S. Army at Fort Ord. Cal. June 21, following two years of active duty. Lt. Merkley is a graduate of Beaver High School and the University Uni-versity of Utah, graduating with high honors from both Institutions. Institu-tions. He entered the Army finance fi-nance corps in June 1955, and has been stationed at Fort Ord where he has been chief of the accounting dept., directing an office of-fice force of 25 civilians and army personnel. Lt. Merkley, his wife, the former for-mer Nordine Stoney. and their daughter, Careen, are spending a vacation In Utah with relatives rela-tives and friends. Following their vacation, they will live in El Monte, Calif., where they have purchased a home. Mr. Merkley will be em-' ployed by Arthur Anderson and Company as a certified public accountant, having passed the examination prior to his army service. |
