DEAN LEAVITT COTTAM Sharon Holyoak Wed in Temple Rites Miss Sharon Holyoak of Parowan Paro-wan became the bride of Mr. Dean Leavitt Cottam In marriage rites which took place on Saturday. Sat-urday. April 15 in the St. George LDS Temple. President Harold S. Snow presided In the ceremony cere-mony which was witnessed by a large group of immediate relatives. rela-tives. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Holyoan of this city and the bridegroom is a son-of son-of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Cottam, St. George. Making up the wedding wed-ding party were the parents of both bride and bridegroom, the grandparents of both, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas K. Holyoak, Parowan Paro-wan and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cottam of St. George. Others were Mr. and Mrs. Alma Evans and Mrs. Gladys Benson, Parowan; Paro-wan; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Apple-gate Apple-gate and Mr. and Mrs. Mack Snow, Cedar City. Following the wedding a buffet buf-fet luncheon was served to the members of the party at the home of the bridegroom's parents in St. George. A reception honoring the newly new-ly married couple was held that same evening in the Parowan First Second Ward recreation hall. For the occasion the bride wore a floor length gown of white lace over taffeta with long sleeves, a scalloped neckline and bouffant skirt. Her veil of bride's illusion was caught to a cap of seed pearls and she carried a bouquet of pink tinted garden-las. garden-las. Sister of the bride, Aileen Pris-brey Pris-brey was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Dale S. Esplin, Adell Green, Kathy Johnson, Linda Lin-da Cottam, sister of the bridegroom; bride-groom; Jerrolyn Gurr, Sonya Adams. Lynn Grimshaw and junior jun-ior bridesmaid was Michele Holyoak, Hol-yoak, sister of the bride. The attendants at-tendants wor.? orchid and tan-garine tan-garine sheaihs anH carried matching nosegays of carnations. Brent Cottam stood as best man. Terry Ward and Robert Evans served as usheds and little Jimmy Kaminska was ring bearer. bear-er. In charge of the gift room were Mrs. Rodney Kaminska and Mrs. Raynor Kaminska and Miss Karen Kar-en Cottam. Mrs. Emma Morten-sen,, Morten-sen,, Mrs. Beth Clark and Mrs. Norma Robinson were In charge of refreshments and serving were VeAnn Benson, Kathy Nielson, Ani Grimshaw. Sandra Decker and Linda Knight. Jackie Evans and Virginia Cottam were at the guest register. Bain Matheson acted as master of ceremonies for the program which was held during the evening. eve-ning. The bridegroom is a student at Dixie College, and has fulfilled ' a mission for the LDS Church to the Spanish-American Mission. The bride is a graduate of Parowan Paro-wan High School. They will make a home In St. George where Mr. Cottam will continue his studies. |
