Show PARAGONAH NEWS NOTES By Nora Lund Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Boardman and Curtis returned Monday from Riverside, Calif., where they spent a few days with Ruth's mother, Mrs. Hattie Cox. They visited Sunday with a brother in-law and sister of Bill's. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Roundy and family of Huntington Park. Mrs. Lasca Hunt, Mrs. Wanda Benson and Mrs. Rosella Barton, were hostesses for a personal bridal shower for Miss Kathleen Barton Wednesday evening. A large crowd attended the affair which was held at the tunt Home. Sunday, Mar. 31, the Primary Lark Class entertained their par. ents, the Primary officers and the bishopric at a party. Mrs. Norma Topham is the teacher. Miss Phyllis Robb and Heber Lund, Paragonah students of the Parowan High School, were rep sentatlves of the music depart ment to the Region 10 solo and ensemble festival Friday, Mar. 29. at Mllford. Phyllis participated partici-pated in the vocal division and Heber played an accordion solo. A few friends from here it-tended it-tended the missionary farewell testimonial Friday night in Paro wan for Dr. and Mrs. Lionel W. Sorenson. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Lund made a business trip to Toquervlli and Hurricane on Thursday. Mrs. Earl LeFevre and four children came from Salt Lake City on Saturday to visit Mrs. LeFevre's parents, Mr. and M;. Asa Topham and the Alma and Howard Topham families. llarl-ene llarl-ene and Lyle will spend the week here with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. J. Leonard Topham Top-ham attended Sacrament meet ing Sunday In Beaver where Mr, Topham officiated at the christening chris-tening of their first granddaughter. granddaugh-ter. They also visited with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bradshaw and children. , A large number of people from here attended the' funeral services ser-vices for Joseph Stevens, father of Mrs. Bertha Topham. on Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon in Parowan.- Dale Robinson of Salt Lake City is in town for awhile. Mrs. Alice Robinson spent the afternoon Thursday In Parowan with her sister, Mrs. Martha Dal. ton who was celebrating her birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lund are in Salt Lake City on business. The Primary organization held its In-service meeting Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Irene Robinson. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Robin-lnson Robin-lnson and Ada spen Saturday in St. George with Mr. and Mrs. Job Hall. Mr. Hall, a brother-in-law, is in poor health. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Mitchell and family of Weed Heights, Nev., and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Diel and family of Stockton, Utah, were here for the wedding reception recep-tion for Mr. and Mrs. Roy Orton Saturday evening. Allan Dalley, who Is attending the Salt Lake area trade school, is home for a few days visiting his family, the Lawrence Dalley.
