Show Orderville Matron, 82 Dies at Home of Son Mrs. Eleanor Carroll Bolander, 82, died Thursday, Mar. 28. at the home of her son, Bishop Giles Bolander of Cedar City, follow, ing a lingering illness. Funeral services for the southern Utah pioneer were held Monday at the Orderville Ward chapel. Burial was in the Orderville cemetery. Mrs. Bolander was born Jan. 23, 1875 In Heber City, a daugh-ter daugh-ter of Utah pioneers Charles N. and Kazia Giles Carroll. At the age of three she moved with her family to Orderville to Join the "United Order." She has been a resident of Orderville since that time. She has been an active member of the L D S church all of her life. She married James Christian Bolander on Dec. 13, 1905 in the St. George temple. Mr. Bolander died on May 20, 1946. Surviving are three sons: Bish. op Joseph C. Bolander, Orderville, Order-ville, Bishop Bolander, Cedar City, and William C. Bolander of the Millcreek Stake High Council, Salt Lake City; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Reed C. Bolander, Salt Lake City a brother, Charles W. Carroll, Palo Alto, Calif.; four sisters, sis-ters, Lovina C. Heaton, Orderville; Order-ville; Julia C. Chamberlain, Ce-' Ce-' dar City; Amelia C Heaton. Hur-ricane, Hur-ricane, and Amy C. Stark, Order, ville and 19 grandchildren. A son. Reed Bolander, died on 1954, and anotner son died in Infancy. |
