Show Storms Lay Moisture Blanket Over Parowan Valley Storms over the last week end, coupled with other storms during the month of March, took a step toward getting the rainfall for the Parowan Valley area back to normal, although dry February prevented it from getting up to the average for past years. According to Clayton Rasmus-sen, Rasmus-sen, a storm last week end on the last of March brought .12 of an Inch of water, to bring total precipitation for that month to 1.64 inches This was followed by the big wet snowstorm of Monday Mon-day and Tuesday which brought the area .80 of an inch to start April off with a bang. This storm reached well Into the mountains Mr. Rasmussen states with an even foot of wet snow at the head of the hydro pipeline at the Four Mile. These storms added to the 2.54 inches which came in January and the small amount in February, Febru-ary, brings the total for 1957 so far to 5.22 inches. |
