Show Literary Club Holds Season's Final Meet The closing social of the Parowan Paro-wan Literary Club, slated for May, was finally held last Wednesday Wed-nesday at the home of Mrs. Ber-J trude Mitchell. This function marked the end of the club's ac-1 tivities until fall. Assisting Mrs. Mitchell in preparations for the social were Mrs. A. C. Hatch, Mrs. Phoebe Taylor and Mrs. Roene Lund. I The evening got under way with a luncheon, followed by a( brief business meeting, and was! concluded by a series of table; games. As a part of the evening's program, the club members invited invit-ed A. C. Hatch, "Utah Teacher of1 the Year," to be a special guest. Mr. Hatch was presented wlth one of the latest books on ceramics, cera-mics, which is his pet hobby. The book was presented to him by the Utah .Federation of Women's Wo-men's Clubs, which sponsors the annual Teacher of the Year contest con-test In the state, with Mrs. Hul-dah Hul-dah M. Hulet, past vice president presi-dent of the state group, making the presentation. |
