Show i Legion Posts Double Wins in Pre-League Warm-up Cedar City American Legion Junior baseball squad set the stage for the beginning of regional region-al play with two convincing pro-league pro-league gams against the St. George Junior Legion crew. Monday evening the Cedar City team, managed by A. O. Jensen, 'pounded out a II to 8 victory under the lights In St. Geogre and Wednesday afternoon on the Cedar City diamond, ran roughshod rough-shod over the southern oppon-i oppon-i ents to the tune of 26 to 9. Tommy Kirtley homered hom-ered for Cedar and Bevan Leigh tripled, backed up with 12 more solid hits for the win. Anderson allowed eight hits. Hair started the game Wednesday Wednes-day afternoon and was credited with the win, although Lory Ml-Isel Ml-Isel and Roger Higbee shared I mound duties. Leigh Rosenberg j pounded out two triples and Bevan Bev-an Leigh also tripled in the i game. Cedar picked up a number of extra base hits In the total of 20 collected for the game.
