Show PARAGONAH NEWS NOTES By Hilma Lamoreaux Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Lister and their infant son arrived homj from Salt Lake City on Thursday Thurs-day of last week after having the baby in a hospital for special treatment. The baby is making satisfactory progress now. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson and Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Robinson and their baby son spent the week end In northern Utah. Bud went to Ogden on business ar1 Chester and Irene visited witi their son Dale and hU family fam-ily ?nd also spent some time with Mrs. Mary E. Gurr, and with Mrs. Mary Robb and her family. They also visited with relatives In Provo. A large number of Paragonah people were In Parowan on Saturday Sat-urday evening to attend the reception re-ception for newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Orton. Mr. and Mrs. James Maxwell of Glendale spent Friday here visiting with the Wilson Lunds and Mrs. Elizabeth Maxwell. Mr. and Mrs. James Maxwell and Mr. and Mrs. Delwyn Maxwell Max-well of Glendale who are at present pres-ent attending school at College of Southern Utah, were visitors in Paragonah on Sunday. The visitors were enterts'ned at dinner at the Wilcon Lund home. Also present for this occasion oc-casion Were Mr. and Mrs. John Morrison and daughter Susan of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Mllford Hollowood of Parowan. All members mem-bers of the Lund family were there also with Heber and his wife coming from Cedar City for the week end, the Victor Smith family coming from Parowan. i Howard Tooham traveled t 1 Provo on Saturday for a visit with his wife who is hospitalized there for treatment. Mrs. Topham is reported to be Improving. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson are proud grandparents once more with the arrival of a mv boy born to Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Robinson of Parowan. The baby was bom at the Iron County Hospital Hos-pital Saturday morning. LaNoll Topham and Mike Wil-liamson Wil-liamson were home from Salt Lake City for the week end for a visit with their folks here. Rodney Jones returned to Mc-Gill, Mc-Gill, Nevada on Wednesday of last week after visiting here and in Cedar City for several days. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Green and son Mark of Cedar City spent Sunday here with Linda's grandparents, grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. Amasa Stones. Sunday evening Mr. and Mrs. Stones traveled to Cedar City to attend a family party in honor of the birthday anniver- j sary of their snn Mario. j A. Ray McBrlde enjoyed a trip I to St. George on Friday of last week with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clark L. Orton of Parowan. The Paragonah Primary Home-builder Home-builder girls held a very successful success-ful "Daddy Date" party on Sunday Sun-day evening In the Relief Society rooms. A fine dinner was served and a program and game were enjoyed. The class leaders assisted assist-ed with the affair, and all girls In the three classes were present with their fathers or a grandfather. grand-father. Two cars full of Paragonah people traveled to St George on Wednesday of last week for the stake temple day. Included In the group were Mr. and Mrs. Wil-lard Wil-lard Lund, Mr. and Mrs. K. Doyle Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. John C. Barton, J. Leonard Topham, Mrs. Leah Jean Boardman and Mrs. Bertha S. Topham. The Misses Annette and Helen Jean Dalton were home from Salt Lake City and Provo to spend the week end with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Dalton. They were accompanied by Willis B. Inglesby who was a guest at the Dalton home. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Bauer and Hugh Robinson and his children of Cedar City were Sunday visitors visit-ors at the Calvin Robinson home. Bishop and Mrs. James H. Anderson An-derson and son Lamarr were Saturday Sat-urday visitors to Beaver where they divided their time ationg their many relatives. Mrs. Gertrude Barton and son March of Cedar City were Sunday visitors to Paragonah where they spent some time with the Ted oarton family. Fireside programs were held on Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. Revere Robirv and at the Austin Barton home for the younger groups. |
