Show I ENOGH-MIDVALLEY NEWS NOTES Mrs. Cora Murto Three car loads of Enoch Primary Pri-mary officers and teachers attended at-tended the Primary Convention held in Minersville on Monday. Mrs. Charles (Bud) Smith is staying with her in-laws, Mr. and Mrs. James Smith. Her three chidren are also here. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Maxwell and daughters Marlene and Kar-lene Kar-lene made a trip to Salt Lake Friday to go through the Temple Tem-ple with Mrs. Maxwell's sister and her husband, the Arlington Hogelberg's. Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Maxwell were Mr. and Mrs. Grady Jentry and children from Roxboro, North Carolina. Mr. Jentry is Branch President of the Branch of the L. D. S. Church there where Mr. Maxwell's Max-well's son Gail is on his mission. Mrs. Pearl Halt?rman is home after staying in Weed Heights, Nev., with her son and wife, the Frank Haltermans. Her daughter, Joyce Covey, brought Mrs. Halter-man Halter-man home and is staying a few days. Also visiting with Mrs. Halterman is another daughter from Salt Lake, Mrs. Susanne Spencer and children. Mrs. Ina Richardson, Elva Richardson, Ann Sherratt Barney Cooley, and Nick Cooley made a trip to Salt Lake City last week end to see Coral Richard-so Richard-so off on tKe plane for England En-gland where he will be for the next two years as he fills an L. D. S. Mission there. Elton Richardson has returned home after spending ten days in Logan helping his sister and family fa-mily build their home up again after a fire had distroyed It Mrs. Luclle Murie and children child-ren ma.le a business trip to Salt Lake City. They also visited vi-sited with her sister-in-law and husband, the Wayne James, in Bountilful. Miss Darla Garfield is home again. Darla went to Logan to attend the older 4-H camp. She then went to Salt Lake and danced In the M. I. A. festival and has since been visiting with relatives there. Visiting with the Glen Gar-fields Gar-fields were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Young and daughters from Rainier, Rain-ier, Washington. Miss Barbara Hall is spending some time with Darla Garfield. Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Anderson and children from Bountilful visited vi-sited here with Mrs. Anderson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Murie. Mur-ie. Clyde Murie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Murie returned to Bountiful Bounti-ful with the Andersons. The farmers are harvesting their first crop hay early because of the alfalfa weavel. Miss Linda Grimshaw will graduate from the L. D. S. Business Busi-ness College in Salt Lake City on Friday, June 23. Linda is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. H. Grimshaw. She finished her schooling In December and since then has been working in the Architectural offices of the L. D. S. church as a private secretary. Sunday afternoon at 2:30 there will be a testimonial held in our ward for Elder Wayne Grimshaw. Elder Grimshaw will enter the mission home in Salt Lake City July 3. He has been called to serve a mission for the L. D. S. church in West Germany. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Randolph Grimshaw. Bishop and Mrs. Henry Grimshaw Grim-shaw and family made a trip to Los Angeles the first of the week. Miss Audrey Armstrong, a former for-mer resident of Enoch, a daughter daugh-ter of Mr and Mrs. Elwin Armstrong, Arm-strong, has been called by the LDS church to serve a mission in Australia. |
