Show CEDAR CITY SOCIAL SWING NOLA KUPFER Weekending at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Ahlstrom was their daughter Alice, who is employed in Salt Lake City. She was joined for the short visit by a friend, Marine Queen. Miss Queen, a native of Dundee, Scotland, has been residing in Salt Lake City for the past six months. Having heard of the wonders of Southern Utah from a former missionary, Jerry Frame, Miss Queen was especially anxious an-xious to see the parks and the beauties surrounding this community. com-munity. Miss Ahlstrom and Miss Queen returned to the capital city ci-ty after a most pleasant stay. A home visit ended on Thursday Thurs-day for Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stap-ley Stap-ley of Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Stapley and their two children child-ren were the guests of Mrs. Stapley's Stap-ley's parents, the A. W. Stephen-sons Stephen-sons 'and also of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stapley of Summit. The young couple took a few days for a round trip to the North. Rim of Grand Canyon before they returned to Salt Lake City. Last week, Mr. and Mrs. Rex Naegle traveled to Weed Heights, Nev. for a few days of visiting with the Lamarr Naegle family. They were especially happy to get acquainted with a grandson born last February whom they had not seen prior to this visit. Host and hostess at a barbecue on their patio were Mr. and Mrs. Hal Norton. Th coun!e Invited members of Mrs. Norton's pinochle pino-chle club and their husbands. Enjoying the delicious steaks and garnishes were Mr. and Mrs. uick winterrose, Mr. and Mrs. Pace Webster, Mr. and Mrs. La Mar Graff, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Graff. Mr. and Mrs. Gayle Adams, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Baldwin, Mr. and Mrs. Jay Perry. Following the barbecue, the couples enjoyed croquet and bingo. bin-go. Visiting family and friends in Cedar City and Parowan are Mrs. Maxine Michelson and daughters of Henderson, Nev. They especially espe-cially attending the .wedding and reception of the former Laurel Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Harris welcomed wel-comed their daughters Sharon Griener and Helen Perkins as they arrived from their homes in Salt Lake City. The Harrises are especLllly nioytncr th thrna children of Mrs." " Perkins and Mrs. Griener"s little daughter. On the weekend the husbands of the ladies will Join them for a few days visiting. Mr. Griener just graduated from the University of Utah and will teach next year in Kearns. Mr. Perkins will complete com-plete a two week Marine training train-ing camp at Camp Pendleton, California, this week. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Larson have enjoyed having at their home, Mr. Larson's eighty-seven year old grandfather who resides re-sides In Willets. Calif. During his stay, the Larsons enjoyed taking him to see the sights at Grand Canyon and at Page, Ariz. He is at present visiting in Hatch and at Richfield with other members mem-bers of his family. On Sunday Mrs. Jarson took him to Es-calante, Es-calante, Ms former home, to spend Father's day. After a pleasant day, he returned to Hatch. An extensive automobile trip! has been planned by Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lunt as they travel to see their sons and daughter In various parts of the coutry. At Dallas, Texas, they were greeted by the Dee Lunt family. In Bloomington, Indiana, they visited visit-ed with the Dean Rlckenbach family. At Washington D. C, they will be the guests of Mrs. Lunt's son Wayne D. White and family. The Cedar City couple also plan to visit Detroit, Michigan before continuing on to Billings, Montana, Mon-tana, for a short visit with Mr. Lunt's daughter, "Mrs. Joe Roop, her husband and family. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cane arc happy to have home their daughter daugh-ter Francis and two children, Mark and Jeni. Mrs. Hamel arrived ar-rived from her Montana home to visit with her parents and her sister, Alyce for a month prior to Alyce's departure for Paris, France. |
