Show Former Cedar Student Is Honor Graduate Mrs. Charles Weber, wife of Charles Weber of San Lorenzo, Calif, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alva Matheson of Cedar City, graduated from the Aleme-da Aleme-da State College and received her bachelor's degree in elementary education. She graduated Magna Cum Laude having the highest point average in the senior class. She received her diploma at the college's col-lege's first commencement exercises. exer-cises. Mrs. Weber graduated from the College of Southern Utah prior to her marriage and when the Alemeda State College was set up in 1959, she enrolled. She plans to teach in the first grade in Castro Valley this fall. Mrs. Weber, the former Lakay Matheson, is the mother of three children, Kathleen 8, Laura Kay 6. and David 3'a years of age. Her husband who works nights, looked after the children while she attended classes and shares in her accomplishments. As it is the first graduation of the new school, Mrs. Weber is so far the only person qualified to graduate with honors. In addition, her accomplishments accomplish-ments were related in a special feature in the Oakland Tribune early this month. |
