Show I PARAG0IIAH NEWS NOTES ! Mrs. Hilma Laznomxux Mr. and Mrs. Alan Stones welcomed wel-comed their first born, a boy, on June 16th at the Iron Co. Hospital. Mr .and Mrs. BUI Inglesby and small son of Salt Lake City were here for the week end for a visit with Annette's folks, the Jack Daltons. Mrs. Alice Jones, Mrs. Carmen Topham and Mrs. Eva Topham enjoyed a trip to Salt Lake City Friday and Saturday of last week. They went to attend the Graduation excercises of the Stevens Henegar Business College Col-lege held in Kingsbury Hall on Friday evening. Mrs. Carolyn Leigh of Ogden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Jones, was one of the 198 graduates in, the class. Kenny Topham arrived here from Salt Lake City Saturday for a few days' visit with his folks, the Kenneth G. Topham family. On Tuesday he left for Bryce Canyon where he has summer employment. Mrs. Anna Gaming of Lansing, Michigan arrived here Wednesday Wednes-day of last week for a visit with her people, the T. A. Robinson family. She is on vacation from her teaching duties at Michigan State University. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Stones and two children of Ogden arrived here Saturday to spend a week's vacation with the P Amasa Stones family. Miss Vickie Lee Robinson left for Price on Saturday after visiting vi-siting here for three weeks. Miss Galye Lund, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lund, is vacationing va-cationing in Boulder City, Nev. with the Robert Ambrust family. Miss Deanna Robb of Salt Lake City arrived here Friday for a visit wiih relatives. She plans to be in this vicinity for two weeks and is spending part of the time in Cedar City with friends. Mrs. Lila Stones entertained the members of her club at her home Wednesday evening of last week. The ladies spent a pleasant plea-sant evening visiting and sewing-Miss sewing-Miss Margaret Ann Talbot of Salt Lake City has been here for the past week visiting with the family of her aunt, Mrs. Arthur Evans. Douglas Evans has been in Wyoming for the past two weeks. He has gone to look after the Evans Brothers ranch there for the summer. A group of Sunday School students stu-dents traveled to St. George Thursday to do baptisms at the Temple. They were accompanied by their teacher, Mrs. Melva Barton and by Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. Topham, Miss Helen Stones and Mrs. Ranae Robb. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Boardman had a very enjoyable experience Sunday when they traveled to Springville at the invitation of President Grant S. Thorne of the North British Mission. President Thorne had come back to Utah for his family and while here was invited to speak at the Springville 5th Ward Sacrament meeting on Sunday. He invited the parents of missionaries mis-sionaries in the North British Mission to be present for that occasion and to be guests at his home after the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Boardman were among the hundred or so parents who were there for the event and they received first hand news from their missionary son, Elder Eugene Eu-gene Boardman. Most of the Primary Association Associa-tion officers and teachers traveled travel-ed to Milford on Monday to attend at-tend the annual Two-Stake convention con-vention for Primary workers. Mr. and Mrs. D. Amasa Stones and Mr. and Mrs. Alan Stones traveled to Cedar City Monday evening of last week for a family get-to-gether. The occasion was a belated birthday celebration for Mr. Stones and his great grandson, Mark Green. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth G. Topham Top-ham traveled to Panguitch on Sunday to pay "Father's Day" respects to Pauline's father, Mr. Joseph Miller. Mrs. Gwen Jones enjoyed having hav-ing company here the past week end. The Rodney Bent ley family fami-ly came from Mt. Pleasant and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Kuffer were here from Bountiful. Mrs. Jones accompanied the Kuffers back to the Salt Lake area and will visit there for a time. |
